Q: Where is the Air Show & BBQ Classic located?

A: The Wings Over North Georgia air show will be held on October 3-4, 2015 at the Russell Regional Airport, located at 304 Russell Field Road, Rome, Georgia 30165.

Q: What about Hotels in the local area?

A: There are numerous hotels in the Rome area to choose from in all price ranges. Click here to see a list of some local links for lodging options.

Q: Where can I Park?

A: “Advance Only” Reserved Airport Parking is available for $20 per car (Sat) and $15 per car (Sun). There are numerous day of show remote public parking locations ($10 per cas) including shuttle bus services (roundtrip) available.  DUE TO FAA REGULATIONS & SECURITY THERE WILL BE NO TAILGATING IN THE AIRPORT PARKING AREAS!

Q: Will there be Handicap Parking?

A: Yes. Designated Handicap Parking areas are available at the airport and remote parking locations. Only authorized handicap vehicles will be allowed to park in these limited available reserved locations.

Q: Will there be handicap transportation services to/from the airport parking and shuttle bus drop-off locations?

A: Yes. We have limited bus services & golf cart services for the handicap guests only to/from the airport designated bus drop-off locations.

Q: How can I purchase tickets?

A: Click here or press the Buy Tickets button above to purchase tickets. Advance ticket options are currently available online at discounted prices. Beginning August 1, guest may also purchase tickets at the airport terminal & the Wings Over North Georgia airport show office (Tue – Fri from 1 – 4pm). Tickets will be available during the air show at the entry ticket booths (Cash, MC, Visa, Discover & AMEX cards are accepted). Please Note: Our discounted ticket options are available only through the online ticketing services through August 31st.

Q: Where can I find information regarding the General Aviation Fly-In opportunity?

A: Click here for the latest General Aviation Fly-In information. General Aviation Fly-In information and reservations can be made by contacting the Wings Over North Georgia airport office at (706) 291-0030 or Mr. Travis Reynolds, Air Show-RAMPCO with your request to fly into KRMG prior to the air show weekend (Oct 3-4, 2015). Travis can be reached via email: airtrav2@yahoo.com. Travis and his team will be the air show primary RAMPCO scheduler directing all aircraft parking needs.  Services available to include: Jet-A; 100LL, Oils, Diesel, Mo-Gas, etc.

Q: Are there any special activities for the Kids?

A: Yes! We have a professional Kid’s Zone attraction located along the air show entry ramp to include: inflatables, bungee jumps, climbing wall along with numerous other kid-friendly activities on the property.  There is a separate fee for these attarctions.  Kids individual tickets to include the daily armband pass (estimated $12-15 each) can be purchased on-site!

Q: Where can I find a Schedule of Events?

A: The weekend activities & air show schedule is posted here.  The schedule is subject to change based on the latest show activities, performers and weather conditions.

Q: Are Tickets Refundable?

A: All tickets sales are final. There are no rain checks or refunds.  If weather becomes an issue, there are three flying profiles we can use to get the show completed as scheduled: High Show, Medium Show and Flat Show.  There are no air show rain dates!  The BBQ Classic competition goes forward rain or shine.

Q: What if it Rains?

A: The air show weekend & BBQ Classic will take place rain or shine. There is a flat, medium and high air show performance option available based on cloud deck, ceilings & any rain conditions.  The BBQ Classic competition goes forward rain or shine.

Q: Are Pets Allowed?

A: Pets are NOT allowed within the air show venue ground (Service Animals are admitted with hosts).  Authorized camping guests are allowed pets only in their assigned/authorized camping location/spot. Our camping guest must maintain total controls over all pets in the camping areas.

Q: Will there be ATM’s on site?

A: Yes. We will have numerous ATM’s located throughout the air show grounds. Please Note that most vendor sales are cash transactions only.

Q: Will there be Food and Beverages available for purchase at the show?

A: Yes. A huge variety of international food and beverage choices are available for purchase throughout the normal show hours.  Please Note that most vendor sales are cash transactions only!

Q: Will there be Drinking Water available at the air show?

A: Yes. In addition to bottled water for purchase, there will be access to emergency public drinking water at the Floyd County EMS/First-Aid Stations, free of charge.

Q: Will there be Public Restrooms available?

A: Yes. Public Restrooms (including handicap-accessible) and Wash-Stations will be available throughout the air show grounds.

Q: Will Smoking Allowed?

A: Yes. Smoking will only be allowed in disignated areas (STRICKLY ENFORCED).

Q: How can a Non-Profit Group volunteer to help at the air show?

Q: Can I take pictures at the air show?

A: YES/Absolutely. Cameras & Video are highly suggested to record your family air show experience. For those photographer buffs, you may want to choose the Photo Center Ticket weekend & daily pass (advance on-line only).
